Cables and Pom Poms
This week's creations are hand-knitted with some of my favourite things - Cables and Pom Poms, as well as the 30% Alpaca/70% Merino wool that I use to create many of my beanies and slouchies. Cables and Pom Pom are very fashionable at the moment and the Alpaca is an amazing non-allergenic fibre that is soft and comfortable to wear, combined with the wool it is a durable, warm and cosy beanie.
The Charcoal Grey Cabled Slouchy (can be ordered with a Pom Pom, if required)
This unisex slouchy can be worn as a beanie with a brim for extra versatility.
The Cabled Pom Pom Slouchy
I love the Cable pattern with it's twisted stitch pattern separating the cables. The colour is great too - an autumn tan/dark orange. The oversized Pom Pom adds a fun element to this stylish slouchy.
The Cabled Pom Pom Beanie can be worn as a Slouch or a Beanie with a brim.
The Cabled Earflap Beanie with Pom Poms
This Earflap Beanie has an interesting pattern of alternating cables and seed stitch. It has three pom poms to complete the picture. It is in a gorgeous dark jade colour that will look great with almost anything. It looks especially awesome on someone with auburn hair but will suit blondes and brunettes too.
The Honeycomb Hat
I adapted the pattern of the Honeycomb Hat so I could knit it on circular needles with a super chunky wool. I was really happy with the way it came out. It is a snug fitting beanie with a cute pom pom in the tan Alpaca/Wool blend. The original pattern was designed by Kateryna Golovanova who has her own company called KG Threads in Rocklin, California. She makes the most amazing knitted wedding shawls and woven scarves!
